REWAHPOX MPS FILLER is a 3-component levelling epoxy filler based on a typical epoxy resin and an epoxy hardener.

Product Description

REWAHPOX MPS as a FILLER, is a 3-component levelling epoxy filler based on a typical epoxy resin and an epoxy hardener, modified with a selection of specific additives - for concrete, rough epoxy mortars and sand/cement
floors.

Application

REWAHPOX MPS FILLER is used only on horizontal surfaces. It is designed to smooth out minor unevenness and is suited for laboratories, food manufacturing industries, printing companies, battery filling stations and high-precision workshops, where surface flatness and imperfection free surfaces are required.

Guideline Formulation For Mixing
MPS FILLER By Weight By Volume
A component - Typical Resin 100 kq 6
B component - MPS/PSF/B 58 kg 4
Silica Flour-50 microns 215 kg 7
Silica Sand - 300 microns 153 kq 5
Total 526 kg 22

Characteristics And Properties

REWAH POX MPS FILLER can be applied in layers with a thickness from a minimum of 1 mm to 5 mm.

If is resistant to oil, fuels and some solvents. No shrinkage occurs during curing time.

After full curing (± 7 days), the floor is resistant to diluted acids and a wide rage of aggressive chemicals.

Instructions For Use

Preparation

Remove cement skin, dust and grease from the substrate. The product can only be applied onto a dry substrate.

Repair heavily damaged substrate using REWAH POX MPS MORTAR/SCREED. (refer separate technical data sheet). Volumetric or weight mixing proportions of the Resin and Hardener components must be strictly followed.

Mix the REWAHPOX MPS FILLER, Resin and Hardener components until homogeneous. Add the filler components while still mixing, until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

Mixing Procedure

Component A and component B need to be mixed thoroughly. Stir continuously while adding the fillers until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Mix only with the correct mixing unit and blade.

Working Method

The mixture should be poured onto the substrate and spread using a stainless steel trowel or rubber sweeper until the desired layer thickness is reached.

De-aerate the applied mixture using a needle roller to avoid the formation air-bubbles.

If the substrate has a high absorption rate the amount of fine fillers (silica flour 50 Jim) can be increased. Clean the tools using REWAH ARTICLEAN or a similar Xylene based cleaner.

Precautions

A minimum application temperature of 12°C shall be respected. When the temperature is below 15°C, a longer curing time has to be allowed for.

Additional Processing Conditions:

relative humidity max. 75
substrate temperature min. 12°C and 3°C above dew-point temperature

Safety information - Transport - Handling and

Take the following precautions when handling products based on epoxide resins. Once the epoxide resins are hardened they constitute no physiological danger.

In order to avoid irritation which can be provoked when the skin or the eyes are exposed to the products, just like when vapours released during the application or the hardening are inhaled, it is necessary to comply with the following precautions:

  • Avoid immediate skin contact.
  • Rubber gloves offer the best protection. Skin creams offer an additional protection. They preserve those parts of the skin which do not directly come in contact with the products, e.g. arms and face.
  • Wear safety goggles to protect the eyes from any possible splashes,
  • Work clothes saturated with resins must be replaced the next day.
  • Carefully wash your hands with water and soap before smoking or eating.
  • Do not wash your hands with solvents. Most skin diseases diagnosed while applying epoxy resins originate from the excessive use of solvents which primarily dry out and nick the skin and subsequently lead to dermatitis.
  • Provide good aeration around the work area while preparing and applying the products.

REWAHPOX MPS FILLER is an epoxy-based system. Please comply with the current health, removal and safety regulations. Safety information in compliance with guideline EEG 91/155 is available.
