PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cemgrout NS is a
ready-to-use, non-shrink, cementitious compound that
is specially blended using Portland cement, highly
graded filler, expanding agent and plasticising
additives. It is non-corrosive and is free of
chlorides and nitrates.
Cemgrout NS is
designed to exhibit different consistencies for
different application requirements by simply
adjusting the water/ Cemgrout NS ratio.
Cemgrout NS is
specially formulated for use in the following areas:
repair of
structural concrete by patching or pressure
grouting methods;
as a levelling
bed for machinery and equipment stanchion;
grouting of
semi-precast construction joints; and
grouting of
structure stanchion base plate.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
Ease of
preparation as Cemgrout NS requires only the
addition of a predetermined amount of water.
Reduces site
variations and errors as Cemgrout NS
is pre-muted.
Possesses high
compressive strength.
Possesses high
early strength even at fluid (pumpable)
consistency.
Possesses
non-shrinking property under restraint and is
free of bleeding and segregation.
Possesses
excellent flow characteristics at
pumpable and flowable consistencies even in
difficult access areas.
Possesses high
cohesion at stiff consistency.
Possesses high
thixotropicity at plastic consistency.
Is free of
chlorides and metallic elements.
Possesses good
weatherproofing property.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Surface Pre on
All substrate
surfaces should be free of loose, flaky
materials, oil, grease and other contaminants.
All substrate
surfaces should be clean and pre-wetted with
clean water.
All free
surface water should be removed before the
application of Cemgrout NS.
Fill the
appropriate amount of water for the required
consistency (as given in the Performance Data
below).
Add Cemgrout
NS slowly to the water and mix concurrently with
a slow speed muter (high shear paddle shall be
used) until a lump-free and homogenous mortar is
achieved.
Ensure minimal
air-entrapment into the mix.
Structure And Machinery Base-Plate
Application of
Cemgrout NS:
Apply the well
mixed Cemgrout NS mortar onto the prepared
surface within 45 minutes in order to gain the
full benefit of the expansion process.
Cemgrout NS
may be applied, in one application,
up to 100 mm thickness. For thicker application,
the addition of clean and graded 6mm aggregate
at the rate of 1:1 by weight is recommended.
This is to minimise temperature rise.
If pouring or
pressure grouting methods is used, Cemgrout NS
mortar should be applied from only
one side of the void in order to eliminate air
entrapment and facilitate continuous grout flow.
The ideal
temperature range for Cemgrout NS
mortar application is between 5°C to 35°C.
This is because cooler temperatures retards the
setting time and strength gain.
SAFETY PRECAUTION
Avoid direct
contact with eye and skin although Cemgrout NS
is non-toxic.
Wear gloves
and goggles.
Wash skin or
affected area with clean water.
Avoid
ingestion.
