Cemgrout GPA General
Purpose Non-shrink Construction Grout Conforms to
ASTM C 109, ASTM C827
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cemgrout GPA is a
ready-to-use, non shrink, cementitious compound that
is specially blended using Portland cement, natural
aggregate, expanding agent and chemical additives.
It is non-corrosive and is free of chlorides and
nitrates.
Cemgrout GPA is
designed to exhibit different consistencies for
multi purposes application by simply adjusting the
water/ Cemgrout GPA ratio.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
Ease of
preparation as Cemgrout GPA requires only the
addition of a predetermined amount of water.
Reduces site
variations and errors as Cemgrout
GPA is pre-mixed.
Possesses good
early strength even at pumpable consistency.
Possesses
non-shrinking property under restraint
and is free of bleeding and segregation.
Possesses
excellent flow characteristics at
pumpable and flowable consistencies even in
difficult access areas.
All substrate
surfaces should be free of loose,
flaky materials, oil, grease and other
contaminants.
All substrate
surfaces should be clean and pre-wetted with
clean water.
All free
surface water should be removed before the
application of Cemgrout GPA.
Prepairation of
Cemgrout GPA:
Fill the
appropriate amount of water for the required
consistency (as given in the Performance Data
below).
Add Cemgrout
GPA slowly to the water and mix concurrently
with a slow speed mixer (high shear paddle shall
be used) until a lump-free and homogenous mortar
is achieved.
Ensure minimal
air-entrainment into the mix.
Application of Cemgrout GPA:
Apply the
well-mixed Cemgroul GPA mortar onto the prepared
surface within 45 minutes in order to gain the
full benefit of the expansion process.
Cemgrout GPA
may be applied, in a,one application, up to 100
mm thickness. For thicker application, the
addition of clean and graded 6mm aggregate at
the rate of 1:1 by weight is recommended. This
is to minimise temperature rise.
If pouring or
pressure-grouting methods are used, Cemgrout GPA
mortar should be applied from only one side of
the void in order to eliminate air entrapment
and facilitate continuous grout flow.
The ideal
temperature range for Cemgrout GPA mortar
application is between 10 to 35°C.
SAFETY PRECAUTION
Avoid direct
contact with eye and skin although Cemgrout GPA
is non-toxic.
Wear gloves
and goggles.
Wash skin or
affected area with clean water.
Avoid
ingestion.
